18″ PAILLARD SUBLIME HARMONIE INTERCHANGEABLE CYLINDER MUSIC BOX. Ebony case with birds eye panels on the front, top and ends. Panels have inlaid borders and lid has 3-1/2″ x 6″ mother-of-pearl inlay. Inside lid is book-matched burl walnut with diagonal border veneer. Large brass handles on each end and nickel escutcheons on key holes. Music box is professionally restored. Double spring motor with three interchangeable cylinders, tune indicator and three tune cards. Has two zither attachments, one for each comb. All keys present. SIZE: 43″ w x 12-1/2″ h x 17-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case has an aged finish that is very nice with numerous little dings and bangs here and there that are part of its patina. A little loose string inlay on right and left side and small piece missing on the front and lid. Small chips, around 1/8″, veneer on front of drawer. Finish is nice but some people would want to refinish it. Plays very well with delightful tone. 1-10979 (4,000-5,000)
