18-1/2″ EMPRESS CONCERT GRAND. Beautiful, large console instrument which plays 18-1/2″ discs on double combs. Hand-cranked with very fine rich tone. Case has bowed front with storage below for many discs. Nice mahogany case with string inlay on front panel and bottom two doors also top and inside lid. Has original brass casters, hinges and escutcheons. Lid lifts to expose a large decal “Empress Concert Grand – Lion & Healy – Chicago”. SIZE: 30-1/2″ w x 40″ h x 25″ d. CONDITION: Case has very nice original but crazed finish. Beautifully restored mechanism. Plays to perfection. All keys present. 1-10978 (7,000-8,000)
