PAILLARD INTERCHANGEABLE CYLINDER BOX WITH TABLE. Burled walnut case and table with contrasting border inlay. Fancy legs with carving and inlay and original white porcelain casters. Ebony moldings and ebony finish on backs of legs. Large brass handles on each end. Book-matched veneer on table top, front of music box, music box lid and on both sides. The untouched original finish still exists on both case and table and could easily be made to look outstanding. Music box has brilliant resonant tone in spite of needing damper work. Mechanism has a double spring motor, 19-1/2″ cylinder and a zither attachment. Included is original sale’s receipt, slightly damaged, but mostly there, original directions for changing the cylinder and two original tune cards for the two cylinders. SIZE: 57″ w x 42″ h x 26″ d. CONDITION: Mechanism is, as found original, and could be easily brought up to like new specifications with fine tuning, cleaning and polishing. However, it does need damper work. Nickel plating is near excellent, just needs polishing. 1-10575 (12,000-15,000)
