E. HOWARD #5 BANJO CLOCK. Third quarter 19th century, Boston. The enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring with time only aperture. Marked in script “E. Howard & Co./BOSTON”. The rosewood and mahogany case of typical form with eglomise throat and box plate and with eight day weight driven movement the case surmounted by a displayed eagle finial. SIZE: 32-1/2″ h overall. Case: 29″ h. CONDITION: Fair to good. Circular molded door in need of restoration. Enamel dial with paint loss in upper half. Eglomise plates appear original.
