PORTRAIT OF THE NEALLEY HOME OF MONROE, MAINE BY D. A. PACKARD. Oil on canvas primitive portrait of a Maine connected home in late spring under blue sky. The antique farmhouse connected with a long series of sheds to its large barn with date plaque “1882” having cupola and arrow weathervane. A flower garden is seen in the foreground. Housed in a grain painted frame with gold liner. On reverse is inscription with title, artist, and date of August 1950. SIZE: 15” x 21”. PROVENANCE: Collection of Avis Howells, Belfast, Maine. CONDITION: Very good having yellow varnish layer. 9-25140 (800-1,200)
