NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL GRAIN PAINTED SIDE TABLE. First quarter 19th century. The rectangular pine two board top projecting above the conforming frieze raised on square tapered legs. The whole grain painted in dark red and black. SIZE: 29″ h x 35″ l x 25-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: Table retains original grain painted surfaces, the top well worn and scrubbed and showing signs of heavy usage. Grained decoration 90% worn. Base in very good structural condition and retaining original surfaces with good patina. 9-20875 (600-900)
