LARGE CAMPAIGN STYLE TRAVELING DESK NOW MOUNTED ON STAND. Desk circa 1810. This large rectangular example opening on hinges to reveal a baise writing surface further opening to wells, additionally fitted with compartments for inkwells and pens. The lid crossbanded centering a contrasting rectangular panel. The desk now mounted on a conforming later Georgian style base with square champhered legs joined by cross stretchers. SIZE: 31″ h x 25-3/4″ l overall x 15″ d overall. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished with very good color. Overall very good. 9-98082 (800-1,200)
