SIX FOLK ART CARVED FIGURES. 20th century. 1) carved from solid depicting coiled cobra on circular plinth. 2) clown like figure in face paint with wide eyes wearing a brimmed hat. 3) whimsical grotesque mermaid with hinged arms on wrought iron wall bracket. 4) Native American carved bust with single feather in headband. 5) man with upstretched arm straddling a pig. 6) jointed figure of clown with pointed hat. SIZE: 1) 23″ h. 2) 13″ h. 3) 25″ h x 22″ l overall. 4) 20″ h. 5) 16″ h. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: 1) head of snake broken off. Needs restoration and reattachment. 2) clown figure with two dowels on crown of hat, object once held, no longer present. 3, 4, 5 & 6) structurally good.
