CAST IRON UMBRELLA STAND OF A SAILOR. 19th century, American. Cast in the form of a sailor standing astride an anchor supported by a pair of stylized dolphins joined to the oval plinth fitted with drip pan. The sailor’s hands continuing to a conforming rope form umbrella holder. SIZE: 27″ h x 15″ w x 8″ d. CONDITION: Iron surfaces intact with good detail and minimal rust. Old repair at proper left front corner of rope holder. Otherwise very good. 9-25842 (800-1,200)
