COIN-OPERATED PADDY & PIG AUTOMATON. A desirable, appealing and highly sought after automaton of Paddy feeding his pig. This particular piece is encased in an attractive paneled cabinet and is activated by dropping a coin in the slot. Originally this type of automaton had a windup clockwork mechanism. But due to the nature of this piece, purportedly being in the arcade in Disney World, this machine has been converted to an electric motor. A multitude of actions by both Paddy and his pig made this a most appealing and frequently played device at its former location. The cabinet and the figures have been professionally restored at some point in the past and this particular piece is of unknown vintage. SIZE: 75″ h x 19-1/2″ w x 19-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case has been refinished, interior and characters have been restored, which is understandable with its years of faithful service. 1-10599 (11,000-15,000) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2011 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
