TWO BOW-BACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIRS. Late 18th/early 19th century. Each example with seven-spindle back and pine shaped seats. The first with molded hoop back in old black paint raised on splayed simulated bamboo legs. The second, a shorter example with simulated bamboo spindles in a red wash. SIZE: First: 35-3/4″ h of back. Second: 35-1/2″ h of back. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: Good overall. The second chair with old splits in crestrail, repaired.
