AMERICAN FULL BODY COPPER TROTTING HORSE WEATHERVANE. Late 19th, early 20th century. This molded copper example with sheet metal mane and gilded surfaces. To be sold with stand. SIZE: 16-1/2″ h x 31-1/2″ l. Stand is 36″ l. CONDITION: With regilded surfaces and bullet hole in proper left rear hoof. Body with several shallow dents. Ears somewhat swept back which we believe to be of the original form. This unsigned example is very similar to those modeled by Harris & Co. 9-98177 (1,500-2,000)
