WINDSOR SACK-BACK ARMCHAIR IN BLUE PAINT. Late 18th/early 19th century, probably Philadelphia. The bowed crestrail joined by 6 spindles. The midrail continuing to applied hand grips above the shaped saddle seat raised on splayed turned and swelled legs joined by a swelled H-form stretcher. SIZE: 37″ h of back, 17-1/4″ h of seat. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: Early blue over red wash. Structurally very good with dry surfaces. 9-20818 (600-900)
