EARLY SILKWORK & WATERCOLOR MEMORIAL. The memorial centered on a gold stitched monument titled “Mrs. Huldah Beebe died Oct’r 15th 1803 aged 45”. The monument having a tapering triangular top adorned with an urn having a spiraled flower band being placed by a woman in black with seven other figures (four men and three other women). This is all seen under a large blue weeping willow with two other trees. Housed in its original gilt molded wood frame with gilt matte & glass. A small sticker affixed to back “Knittle Collection, Auction Nov. 1962″. SIZE: Sight: 20″ x 16-3/4”. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: Break in silk horizontally through nameplate in monument and two other breaks in silk backing on right side. Otherwise good. 9-20803 (800-1,200)
