TWO MINIATURE PORTRAITS. Early 19th century. The first, an oval example, possibly painted on ivory and signed along the right edge, depicting a half bust portrait of a woman in a blue gown wearing pearls in her hair. Housed in a rectangular ebonized frame of the period. The second, a 3/4 bust portrait of a blond female wearing a blue gown and a gauze bonnet, a landscape in the background. Housed in a brass and silk frame with beveled glass front. SIZE: First 2-3/4″ x 2-1/3″ sight, second 2-1/2″ x 2″ sight. CONDITION: Both appear to be in very good condition, retaining good colors. 9-97869 (600-900)
