SHERATON BUTTERNUT SUGAR CHEST. Second quarter 19th century, Ohio or West Virginia. The rectangular top with hinged front lid above the conforming case fitted with a well above a single drawer raised on ring-turned swelled short legs terminating in pointed ball feet. The case with recessed end panels. SIZE: 36-1/2″ h x 35-1/2″ w x 18-1/4″ d. CONDITION: With later surfaces. Glass knobs, feet, drawer and back board all original. Structurally very good. Surfaces in need of cleaning and repolishing. 9-21584 (700-900)
