SCHOENNER MINIATURE ILLUMINATING GAS ENGINE. Of German manufacture, circa 1875-1900, this single piston engine consists of two large flywheels between which is a large single piston, all on cast iron pinstriped base. Retains its original decal with images of crests and “System Schoenner Brevete Patent”. Accompanied by old wooden crate that may or may not be original to this piece and pieces of hardened rubber tubing, which were fittings from the lines to the tank. SIZE: 12″ l x7-1/2″ h x 8″ w. CONDITION: Overall good to very good with consistent wear and paint chips. 1-10805 (800-1,200)
