LOT OF TWO FOREIGN DOLLS. 1) 14” all original French celluloid and cloth doll. This young lady has a celluloid head with brown mohair wig wearing a red cotton print dress with matching bonnet and is on a straw-filled cloth body. This doll comes with original French declaration sheet when shipped to this country in 1950. This has been stored in a James McCreery store box since then. 2) 14-1/2” all original bisqueloid head on cloth body wearing provincial clothing. This doll features a well-detailed face, a wig containing braids over the ears, wearing regional clothing of the time. This doll comes in an original “Midge” box (incorrect for doll). CONDITION: The French celluloid has a shoe present but deteriorated. There is a fair amount of deterioration to left side of doll dress. The second is in very fine original condition. Some light soiling to face and fabric deterioration to apron.
