GEORGE III MAHOGANY TILT TOP TEA TABLE. Last quarter 18th century. The circular singular board top with scalloped edge hinged on a birdcage support swiveling on a columnar standard continuing to a swirled urn-form base raised on a tripod cabriole leg base terminating in platform pad feet. SIZE: 28″ h x 27-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: With repair to lower edge of scalloped top. Restoration to underside of one pad foot. Old restored break at base of standard. Original three pronged iron reinforcement still present. Table top has been cleaned and polished. Base retains early surfaces. 9-21297 (800-1,200)
