MASSACHUSETTS NORTH SHORE QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY TILT TOP TEA TABLE. Third quarter 18th century with attributions in form to Joseph Short, Newburyport. Square top with notched corners hinged on a baluster turned tripod base, anchored with a spade form key, the angular cabriole legs terminating in ridged platform pad feet. SIZE: 26-1/4″ h x 30″ x 31″. CONDITION: The top with a central seam split. The support brackets with additional later screws. Once leg with repairs at juncture to base. Otherwise good. Table base retains old surfaces beneath later varnish. 9-98188 (1,000-2,000)
