AMERICAN FEDERAL TIGER MAPLE AND CHERRY CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1840, probably New York. The rectangular top above the conforming case fitted with a deep top drawer over three graduated long drawers framed by a reeded frieze, apron and pilasters, raised on short baluster turned legs. SIZE: 45″ h x 47″ l x 21″ d. CONDITION: Top with small spliced repair left side facing. With original surfaces and good patina. Ivory escutcheons original, brass hardware replaced and with redrilled holes. 9-98545 (1,500-2,500)
