AMERICAN FULL BODY COPPER GODDESS OF LIBERTY WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century. Of typical form, the figure modeled with a flag on pole headed by an arrow head. The band of cap and sash, and the stars on flag all rendered as circular indentations. Her tunic is delineated with accentuated pleating. Offered with museum stand. SIZE: 25″ h x 18″ l. CONDITION: Surfaces retain original gilding beneath verdigris. Solder lines pronounced at shoulders, but not believed to be other than original soldering. Generally very good. 9-27080 (6,000-8,000)
