TWO PIECES OF DELFT POTTERY. Late 18th/ early 19th century. Probably Dutch. The first, a 9” diameter plate with borders of foliate garlands. The central blue rondel with “B. D./ 1756”. The second example a baluster form pitcher with pewter lid and a later applied pewter foot rim. Decorated overall in underglaze blue scenic floral decorations. SIZE: Diam. of plate 9”. Height of pitcher 13-3/4″ PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Rim of plate with old chips. Craquelure overall. Good. The pitcher with small areas of glaze loss on neck, shoulder, and at mid-point of body. Pewter base not original. Otherwise good. 9-21472 (800-1,200)
