PAIR OF BOSTON CLASSICAL BRASS BALL TOP ANDIRONS ACCOMPANIED BY PIERCED BRASS FENDER. First quarter 19th century. Each with a mid-banded ball finial joined to a baluster-turned shaft on spurred cabriole legs on pointed slipper feet. The D-form fender reticulated overall with rows of diamond and cross patterns with a spiral turned mid molding. The corners cast with lions’ masks. SIZE: Andirons: 17″ h x 23″ d. Fender: 12″ h x 42-1/2″ w x 13″ d. CONDITION: Andirons with professional restoration. Fender structurally very good. 9-98161 (500-750)
