LOT OF 16 ADVERTISING SIGNS. 1) Lucas’ Paint cardboard poster with illustration of Longfellow’s home in Cambridge, Mass. Good to very good condition with some light creasing and foxing. Sight Size is 16″ w x 15″ h. 2) Winslow’s Skates cardboard sign with Holland winter scape. Good condition with some foxing and water stains. Sight Size is 19-1/2″ w x 9-3/4″ h. 3) Colonial Spirits Aftershave cardboard sign from the Berry Brothers, Detroit, Mich. Good to very good condition, needs reframing. Sight Size is 13″ w x 8-1/4″ h. 4) Lot of 2 cardboard signs of country store interiors printed for the American Optical Company, 1942. Generally good condition with some rippling and a few scattered chips and scuffs. Overall size in original frames is 24-1/2″ w x 20″ h. 5) Stone lithograph surveyors transit illustration for Buff & Buff Instrument Shops, Boston, Mass. Circa 1920. Very good condition with tiny puncture to top edge. Size is 16-1/2″ w x 24″ h. 6) Lot of 2 Pears Soap lithographs; one captioned “After School” with artwork by Fred Morgan of a girl on a swing for their 1893 Christmas supplement. Very good condition. Sight Size is 19-1/2″ w x 29-1/2″ h. The other is captioned “Curiosity” with artwork by Eugene Von Black of two young ladies atop a ladder peering over a brick wall for their 1892 Christmas supplement. Good to very good condition with some light soiling to the white margins. Size is 18″ w x 37″ h. 7) Elgin pocket watch lithograph of a young boy in an outfit inspired by Huck Finn clutching an Elgin pocket watch. Copyright 1889. Good to very good condition with overall age toning. Sight Size is 17-1/2″ w x 29-1/2″ h. 8) Embossed Diamond Horseshoe Calks with illustration of draft horses hauling a loaded wagon uphill on winter ice. The lithograph by the Donaldson Art Sign Co., Covington, KY. for Diamond Calk Horseshoe Co. Overall very good condition with some scattered scuffs to the raised border. Size is 23-1/2″ w x 35″ h. 9) Satin Skin Powder poster stone lithographed image of Victorian woman with two jars of skin cream. Copyright 1903. Very good condition with a few fine vertical lines made in the printing process. Size is 27-3/4″ w x 41-1/2″ h. Lot also includes 5 additional related advertising prints.
