LARGE DOUBLE-SPOUTED ACOMA POTTERY WEDDING VASE. First quarter of 20th Century. Large vase having central handle connecting spouts. Central body decorated with geometric motif with black and orange/red designs. The phrase “wedding vase” does not refer to the traditional non-Native American wedding but to an ancient ceremony performed by Navajo/Pueblo peoples. SIZE: 13″ high – 10″ diameter. PROVENANCE: Private Collection, New York City. CONDITION: Some surface dirt, light scuffs, otherwise very good. 9-25807 (1,500-2,500)
