AMERICAN CARVED MAHOGANY TESTER BED. Circa 1850. In the manner of Mallard, the headboard of figured mahogany with half round molded frame and plume and leaf tip cresting, joined to the octagonal faceted swelled posts continuing to square supports on ball feet. The foot posts conforming, all with saucer and ring turned finials surmounted by a canopy frame. SIZE: Overall: 7′ 8″ h x 5′ 6″ w x 7′ l. Interior: 55″ w x 75″ l. CONDITION: All with original surfaces and good rich patina. Original canopy frame. 9-98623 (2,000-3,000)
