OUTSTANDING PAINTED AND CARVED ARTICULATING WOLF MASK. Finely carved mask with movable jaw painted in colors of red, blue and black. Two large abalone inset eyes, bone/ivory teeth. Top of snout inlaid with rectangles and circles of abalone shells. Ears having tassels of black hair. Early 20th Century Northwest coast, possibly Kwakiutl. Along with a museum iron stand for display. SIZE: 9″ high x 14-1/2″ long. CONDITION: Very good, missing 2 bone teeth. 7-70001 (5,000-7,000)
