SET OF SIX RUSTIC BIRCH ARMCHAIRS. 20th century, New England. Each fashioned from hand hewn branches and sapling trunks. The cylindrical stiles joined by a horizontal plank splat with natural hide covering, further joined to horizontal cylindrical arms centering a plank seat, each covered with matching red hooked cushions with a central conifer motif. Raised on cylindrical legs joined by twig box stretcher. SIZE: 38″ h of back. 23″ w of chair. 17-1/2″ h of seat. CONDITION: Very good. Expected areas of wear to seat cushions. 7-70094 (2,000-3,000)
