GOOD CARVED MAHOGANY TWO OVER FOUR DRAWER CHEST. Large chest has side by side two drawers over four drawers all fitted with original wood knobs. Paneled sides and front carved half posts with leaf and ring decoration. Chest rests on two tall animal carved claw feet with applied deep leaf carvings. The top fitted with a back crest having well executed carved posts decorated with ring and leaf carving surmounted by a highly detailed acorn finial. PROVENANCE: From an eastern Connecticut Estate. SIZE: 59-1/2” h x case 46” w x 20-1/2” d. CONDITION: Generally very good, some minor veneer damage to separator of top drawers. 9-29854 (800-1,200)
