GEORGE II CARVED MAHOGANY LOWBOY. Third quarter 18th century. This fine example of San Domingo mahogany with a rectangular top, molded edges and inset corners projecting above the conforming case comprised of a long drawer above a row of three short drawers, all with cockbeaded edges and stamped brass hardware of the period above a scalloped apron with carved volutes raised on cabriole legs with shaped returns on circular ridged and platform pad feet. SIZE: 28-1/4″ h x 33″ l x 19-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished exhibiting soft brown color with good patina. 9-98088 (1,500-2,500)
