FINE JAPANNED AND PAINT DECORATED SERVING TRAY. Second half 19th century. This nice oval example with a central portrait of a spaniel within a scrolling japanned border, gilt heightened with vinery inlaid with abalone flowers. SIZE: 18-1/2″ h x 24″ l. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Generally very good with light craquelure. Some losses to japanning on bottom of tray. 9-26930 (500-800)
