SHERATON CARVED GILTWOOD MIRROR. Circa 1840. This very nicely carved example with oval mirror plate within the conforming frame of ribbon-tied laurel leaf tips. Beneath a crest of high relief carved bow-tied ribbon joined to out swept ribbon wrapped leafy sprays. SIZE: Overall height: 42-1/2″ h x overall width: 48-1/2 w. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With some damages and losses to leaf tips and with old professional repair to ribbon.
