BRITISH CREAMWARE MOCHAWARE SURFACE AGATE BOUQUETIERE, FRENCH MOCHAWARE SOLID AGATE GOBLET AND AN AGATEWARE PITCHER. Circa 1790 to 1810. The first a British creamware mochaware surface agate bouquetiere of inverted bell form with dome cover, the cover and body inlaid with bits of clay in black, blue, rust, cinnamon and white, beneath sprigged ribbon-tied swags heightened in manganese, and a rouletted black slip-filled checkered band. The second made up of black, brown, cinnamon and cream clays, the rim dipped in white slip, applied with sprigged bearded mask and loop handles. The third an agateware pitcher with pewter lid. With a twig form handle, in the Art Nouveau style, molded overall with vinery paint decorated in greens and yellows on a blue, chocolate and gray marbleized ground. SIZE: Bouquetiere 8″ h.; Goblet 4-7/8″ h; Pitcher 11-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones.
