PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE CARVED FRUITWOOD FAUTEUILS. Late 19th century. Foliate carved overall, the cresting flanked by urn finials, the stiles and arms reeded. The rectangular padded back, padded arms and over-upholstered trapezoidal seat all covered in needlework tapestry of the period. The chairs raised on tapering fluted legs with ring turned cuffs. SIZE: 39″ h of back, 17″ h of seat, 25-1/4″ w overall. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished. Upholstery somewhat faded but intact. Very good overall. 9-20780 (500-700)
