THOMAS H. WILLIS (American, 1850-1925) AMERICAN SCHOONER YACHT. Oil, silk and silk thread on canvas nautical scene shows a two mast yacht with sails up in choppy green sea with white wave crests. Pennants fly from mast tops and American flag flies off back sail. A steam freighter is seen off to the right as the yacht goes right to left. Colorful blue, white and pink/gray sky. Signed bottom right “T. Willis N.Y. 1904″. Housed in what appears to be its original black painted frame with gold wood liner and front glass. SIZE: 22″ x 32”. CONDITION: Craquelure otherwise very good. 9-98202 (4,000-6,000)
