NICE PAINT DECORATED OVAL BRIDAL BOX. Mid 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. The lid painted with a polychrome painted floral spray emitting from a yellow tole tankard on a cream ground within a mustard yellow border of leaf tips. The sides decorated with polychrome sprigs of berries and flowers. SIZE: 6-1/2″ h x 16-3/4″ ml x 10-1/4″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Extensive wear to painted surfaces especially on edges and sides. Decoration on lid still clear. 9-20758 (350-450)
