CARVED EAGLE WALL PLAQUE BY SANGER ATWILL. Carved June, 1954, Lynn, Massachusetts. This example of a displayed eagle carved in pine clutching the Great Seal of the United States and a cluster of arrows in its talons. The back with the brand of Sanger Atwill, also stamped with the date “6/54”. SIZE: 24″ h x 53″ wingspan. CONDITION: Very good, retaining original surfaces, some abrasion due to over cleaning of gilded surfaces. 9-98536 (4,000-6,000)
