MAINE FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY LABELED BOW-FRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1800. Retaining the label of “DINSMORE & BATCHELDER Brunswick, Maine”. Rectangular top with cross banded and string inlaid edges and bow-front above the conforming base fitted with four cross banded drawers each with inlaid shield form escutcheon. Raised on angular French feet. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h x overall 41″ w x 21-1/2″ d. CONDITION: This fine example retaining cleaned professional repolished surfaces with good color and patina. The top with professional spliced repairs. High quality and appropriate brass hardware. Original label remains clear and legible, backboard and feet original with each foot with cosmetic repairs. 9-98096 (2,000-4,000)
