ANTON PICK (Austrian, 1840-1902) THE ALPINE MILL. Outstanding large oil on canvas Continental scene shows a mill at the edge of a cascading river with large boulders. It is nestled at the base of steep mountains under gray, white and light blue sky. A large bird flies over the river. Signed bottom right “A Pick”. Housed in what is its original wide gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner and name plaque. SIZE: 29″ x 39-1/2″. CONDITION: Relined, very good. 9-92202 (2,000-4,000)
