FINE CARVED TOBACCONIST FIGURE OF A MALE FIGURE. Circa 1900. This counter top figure carved depicting barefooted male figure wearing a striped shirt with scarf, double visor cap, baggy shorts and jacket. Posed on a rockwork plinth. Left hand in pocket. Right arm partly extended holding a lit cigarette in his hand. SIZE: 26″ h overall. CONDITION: Structurally very good with appropriate shrinkage. Original painted surfaces with considerable paint loss. Worn and crusty. Old breaks to fingers holding cigarette. 9-20687 (4,000-6,000)
