FINE SILVER PLATE YACHTING TROPHY. Circa 1894, Meriden, Connecticut. This beautifully designed trophy with putti finial joined to the dome lid. The center of fluted whorls within wide borders carved and chased with sailboats off a shoreline flanked by a figure of a sailor standing by a sail on a mast. The base engraved. Raised on pierced aesthetic feet. SIZE: 24″ h x 16-1/2″ w overall. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Plated surfaces remain intact.
