ANTIQUE SERAPE, NORTH PERSIA. Last quarter 19th century. The blue/black angular lobed medallion with ivory and madder red central devices on a salmon ground within pale celadon green and madder red spandrels. The madder red main border with stylized floral trelliswork. SIZE: 11′ 4″ x 8′ 2″. CONDITION: With overall general wear, one side showing wear to foundation. There is a 5″ tear at end of central medallion along with additional areas of severe wear in need of restoration, within acceptable parameters. Losses to guard border at ends and at corners. 9-98444 (10,000-15,000)
