LAVAR KIRMAN ORIENTAL CARPET, EAST PERSIA. First quarter 20th century. The ivory lobed medallion on a dark indigo field within red wine spandrels all profusely decorated with floral vinery, the spandrels each with three lotus blossoms. The ivory main border with clusters of pink and blue/gray flowerheads. SIZE: 8′ 8″ x 5′ 11″. CONDITION: Very good overall, retaining 75-80% of original pile. Selvages intact. End fringe absent. A fine example with strong, rich tones. 9-98286 (3,000-5,000)
