HIRES ROOT BEER POSTER WITH YOUNG BOY AND GOAT CART. Exceptionally rare stone lithographed paper-on-canvas advertisement from Hires previously unknown. Spectacular image of a young lad sitting in his goat powered cart holding a glass of Hires against a snow capped mountain background. Meanwhile, his goat sporting a “Hires Root Beer” blanket is shown preoccupied snacking on Hires promotional leaflets. The caption reads “Hurrah! For Hires’ Root Beer – The Great Health & Temperance Drink”. This sign has it all- stunning graphics that captures the childhood playfulness and spirit found at the turn of the century. Bottom of the poster reads “Copyrighted 1892 – J Ottmann Lith., Co., NY”. SIZE: Sight Size: One sheet, 27-1/4″ w x 41″ h professionally matted and framed. CONDITION: Poster has been professionally restored to display in near excellent condition. Two areas of paper loss between the words “Great – Health” and just above the word “Temperance” have been professionally repaired.
