FINE ORIENTAL EXPORT CONICAL COFFEE POT WITH DOUBLE LID. First half 19th Century. Cobalt example with scrolling gilt work. Each side paint-decorated within a rondel of a rural landscape. The rim and base borders with paint decorated reserves of landscapes and birds. Applied with a gilt decorated strap handle and gilt spout. The dome lid capped with a gilt berry finial. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good overall. Minor expected wear to gilding, especially on handle, chip on underside of lid rim. 9-21460 (800-1,200)
