AMERICAN CHIPPENDALE LOOKING GLASS WITH GILT PHOENIX CREST. Last quarter 18th century. The rectangular plate with gilt slip within a molded surround. The scrolling pierced crest centering a carved giltwood phoenix. The pendant apron scrolled. SIZE: 26″ x 15-1/2″. CONDITION: Original mirror plate and backboard. Frame with old polished surfaces and good patina. Old restoration to scrolled ears. Proper right side upper scroll replaced. Overall very good. 9-20748 (500-600)
