NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE CHERRY TILT TOP CANDLE STAND. Last quarter 18th century, probably Connecticut. The circular figured top with wrought iron latch hinged above a ring turned shaft raised on a tripod cabriole leg base terminating in platform snake feet. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h x 17″ dia. CONDITION: Cleaned and polished early surfaces. Old restoration to shaft at base including old reinforcement of one leg. Otherwise very good. 9-20453 (700-900)
