MASSACHUSETTS CHIPPENDALE OXBOW MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS. Second half of the 18th Century. Rectangular molded top with reverse serpentine edge projecting above a conforming case fitted with four graduated drawers on a molded base raised on ogee bracket feet with scalloped returns. SIZE: 32-3/4″ h x case 37″ w x 22-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Retains early original crusty finish with shrinkage cracks on both sides of the case with replaced but early brass hardware. Bracket feet and majority of the blocks are original. Backboards original. 9-97971 (6,000-9,000)
