IMPORTANT FEDERAL MAHOGANY ROXBURY TALL CASE CLOCK BY AARON WILLARD. Circa 1810, Boston, Massachusetts. The molded arched bonnet with pierced fretwork beneath brass ball and spire finials. The bonnet with free standing colonnettes with brass stop-fluting. The iron dial with painted floral sprigs, floral spray within the arch. The calendar, time and strike apertures above the name “Aaron Willard” in black all within Roman and Arabic numeral chapter rings centering a sweep seconds subsidiary dial. The case with arched molded door above the cove molded base on plinth raised on bracket feet. Offered with two iron weights, pendulum, winder and door key. SIZE: 90-1/2″ h x 13-1/4″ w of throat x 10″ d. CONDITION: Very good with old polished surfaces. Fretwork and feet appear untouched. Face and movement original.
